Growing Forward 2 - Helping You Reach Your Goals
Growing Forward 2 is a federal-provincial initiative that encourages innovation, competitiveness and market development in Canada's agri-food and agri products sector. Whether you are starting out, or have been in business a long time, GF2 can help you reach your goals.
In Ontario, GF2 offers resources, tools and cost-share funding assistance to eligible producers, processors, organizations and collaborations to grow their profits, expand markets and manage shared risks.
Producers: submit an application for cost-share funding assistance from February 3-23, 2017 and May 12 - June 1, 2017.
Organizations and Collaborations: can submit their application for cost-share funding assistance from December 14, 2016 - February 16, 2017 and February 17, 2017-April 20, 2017.
Following the close, processors continue to be eligible to apply, as a collaboration, for Growing Forward 2 cost-share funding under the Organizations and Collaborations stream of the program. The Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) administers GF2 to organizations and collaborations across Ontario on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Federal, provincial and territorial governments are working together to develop the next agricultural policy framework. A two-phase consultation was held to gather feedback to help shape the direction of future policy and programs for the agriculture and agri-food sector. Visit Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's website for more information.
