Growing Forward 2 - Helping You Reach Your Goals
Growing Forward 2 (GF2) is a comprehensive federal-provincial-territorial framework aimed at encouraging innovation, competitiveness and market development in Canada's agri-food and agri-products sector.
In Ontario, GF2 offers free workshops, education and funding assistance to eligible producers, processors, organizations and collaborations to grow profits, expand markets and manage shared risks.
Capacity Building Funding Assistance for Processors and Producers closes March 31, 2015.
Capacity Building applications (requests under $20,000) for Organizations and Collaborations will be accepted by the Agricultural Adaption Council until March 31, 2015.
The 2014 application period for GF2 Implementation Funding Assistance for Producers and Processors is now closed.
The Implementation and Capacity Building (requests $20,000 and over) application intake for Organizations and Collaborations closes April 23, 2015.
GF2 is in its third year, and the ministry is committed to continuous improvement to reflect client and program needs.
Programs like Growing Forward 2 will help the industry meet the Premier's Agri-Food Growth Challenge to double its annual growth rate and create 120,000 new jobs by 2020.

In addition to offering strategic initiatives, GF2 provides Business Risk Management programs to help producers improve competitiveness, foster innovation and better manage risk - including market volatility and rising input costs. The suite of risk programs offered in Ontario under GF2 includes Production Insurance, AgriStability and AgriInvest. Agricorp assists in the delivery of GF2 business risk management programs in Ontario.
