  • Business Development Branch (BDB) exists to help you build your food industry business in Ontario. It provides a wide range of information and advice. Our branch consists of a Client Account Unit and an Investment Development Unit. Officers have expertise in particular sectors and have specific client assignments. The branch also has expertise in finance, infrastructure, training and research in the food industry.
  • Environment and Infrastructure has information, resources and programs to help you understand and comply with environmental regulations, and how to save energy.
  • Managing your Electricity Costs - the Bottom Line on Managing Your Electricity Costs, a Guide for Food Processors, shows how understanding your electricity use patterns can help you manage costs and save money. This 20-page brochure by the Independent Electricity System Operator (TESO) outlines five steps to managing electricity costs and provides case studies taken for the Ontario food processing industry.
  • Bioproducts will give you information on services that support the emerging bioproducts industry.
  • Starting a New Food Business provides resources and advice on how to get started
  • Labour Study: WorkForce Ahead is a comprehensive analysis of Ontario's food processing labour force. The full report and summary are posted on the Alliance of Ontario Food Processors website.
