McGuinty Government Helping Boost Local Economies

Temiskaming Shores is branding its new city name – created with the merger of the municipalities of Dymond, New Liskeard and Haileybury.

Through the Rural Economic Development Program, Ontario is helping the City of Temiskaming Shores to:

• form a cohesive brand for the three former municipalities
• identify how to position Temiskaming Shores for business, tourism and investment
• build awareness of the new City of Temiskaming Shores
• create new promotion tools such as logos, tag lines and website
• attract new business and investment opportunities to this northern community
• strengthen the local economy
• retain youth and a skilled workforce.
