Using Regional Teams

The Ontario government wants rural communities and businesses to prosper. To give you quick access to the information and support you need, we have eight regional teams to work with you.

Each regional team works closely with its community. They:

• Travel to your community to work with you.


• Provide support for community events and projects.


• Work with you to access information and use programs designed for rural businesses and communities.

• Economic Development Consultant (EDC)

Client Account Officer (CAO)
Do you own a business? Are you looking for ways to win more business and see more profits? Client Account Officers can put you in touch with the people, information and business resources you need to succeed.

Rural Business Consultant (RBC)
Do you have a new business or an idea for one? Our Rural Business Consultants offer counselling, resource materials, contacts, seminars and training to help rural businesses better compete and succeed.

Economic Development Consultant (EDC)
Do you want to learn how to build your local economy? Economic Development Consultants train community groups and municipal officials to find ways to strengthen the local economy. They help bring together the information, tools, and services you need.
